Vigil
Vigil
Vigil is the time spent being present with someone who is actively dying. Family and friends may gather at the bedside to provide comfort, share memories, hold hands, pray, play music, or simply sit quietly together.
A vigil can last for hours or several days and is often a deeply meaningful opportunity to say goodbye in a way that feels right for those involved.
