Glen Aplin Memorial Hall

Overview

Glen Aplin Memorial Hall is a much-loved community hall located in the heart of Glen Aplin, approximately 10 kilometres south of Stanthorpe.

Built largely by local volunteers in 1953, the hall has remained the centre of community life for generations. Today it hosts community events, dinners, performances, meetings and celebrations, while continuing to serve as an important gathering place for local residents. The hall includes a stage and a commercial kitchen, making it a versatile venue for a wide range of functions.

Why This Venue Works Well

For families with connections to Glen Aplin and the southern Granite Belt, the hall offers a warm and familiar place to gather after a funeral or for a celebration of life.

Unlike many commercial venues, community halls allow families to personalise every aspect of the farewell—from catering and music to photographs, memory displays and tributes. The hall’s country setting and strong community history create a relaxed atmosphere where family and friends can simply spend time together.

MyRest Recommendation

Community halls are often our favourite venues for celebrations of life because they give families the freedom to create a farewell that truly reflects the person being remembered.

Glen Aplin Memorial Hall is particularly well suited to families looking for a welcoming country venue with plenty of flexibility. The commercial kitchen and stage make it suitable for everything from a simple afternoon tea through to a larger memorial gathering.
