Overview

The Summit Hall is a beautifully restored historic community hall located approximately 15 minutes north of Stanthorpe in the heart of the Granite Belt.

Originally built in 1923, the hall was destroyed by fire in 1932 before being rebuilt by the local community in just six months. That story of resilience and community spirit continues today, with the hall remaining a much-loved gathering place for local events, celebrations and community activities.

Today, the hall is available for hire for a wide variety of events and is also home to the local Boomerang Bags volunteer group, whose members continue to support and preserve this important community asset.

The Summit Hall is one of our favourite venues for families wanting a relaxed, personal celebration of life away from a traditional funeral chapel.

It offers families the flexibility to create a farewell that truly reflects the person being remembered. Whether that’s a simple afternoon tea, a catered gathering, a display of photographs and memorabilia, or a more formal memorial service, the hall provides a welcoming community setting with plenty of character.

Its location among the orchards and vineyards of the Granite Belt also creates a peaceful backdrop that many local families appreciate.
