Carbal Medical Services

Overview

Carbal Medical Services is an Aboriginal Community Controlled Health Organisation (ACCHO) providing culturally safe, community-led healthcare to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people across the Darling Downs and Southern Downs. Established in 2002, Carbal operates medical clinics in Toowoomba and Warwick, with the Warwick GP clinic located at 55 Wood Street. The organisation takes a holistic approach to health by integrating general practice, Aboriginal Health Workers, allied health, outreach programs and community support services.

Families arranging a funeral may require access to:

Carbal plays an important role in supporting First Nations families by providing comprehensive, culturally appropriate healthcare designed to improve long-term health outcomes and help close the gap in health inequality.

The service provides excellent ongoing primary healthcare and support before and after a bereavement. Where Queensland cremation legislation requires an independent medical examination (Form 4), MyRest should continue using its preferred independent examining doctors.

Services

Carbal Medical Services provides a broad range of healthcare services including:

The organisation also provides access to allied health, disability support, outreach programs and community wellbeing initiatives through its wider network of services.
