DeparturePilot is case management software for funeral directors. I built it to run Rest, and we use it for every person in our care. It’s made for small, independent Australian funeral businesses, especially solo operators and small teams.
What it does
- One record per person. The deceased, the family, the doctor, the crematorium or cemetery, documents and notes all live together in one case.
- Checklists that carry over. Set up your own workflow once, and every new case gets the same steps, so nothing gets missed.
- A diary that keeps you honest. Bookings, services, meetings and transfers in one place, with a morning summary of the day and an evening note of anything missed.
- Family portal. Families can view and complete what they need through a secure link, with no account or password.
- Paperwork and signing. Send forms for signature, and the signed copy files itself back into the case.
- Email and SMS from the case. Messages stay attached to the person they’re about, with delivery tracking.
- Labels and scanning. Print a barcoded tag for each person in your care and scan it to log every movement.
- Online enquiry forms. Enquiries from your website land straight in the system.
