Client Portal
One place for the things we need
When you arrange a funeral or cremation with MyRest, we may give you access to a private Client Portal.
The portal gives you one place to provide information, upload files, complete forms and respond to things we need from you as we arrange the funeral.
You don’t need to create an account or download an app. Your portal is accessed through a unique link that we provide to you, and it works on your phone, tablet or computer.
What can I do in my Client Portal?
The things you see in your portal will depend on the arrangements we are making with you.
You may be asked to:
- Complete your Personal Details for registration of the death
- Complete an Authority to Release
- Upload photographs for a funeral booklet
- Upload photographs for a photographic tribute
- Share your choice of music
- Make or confirm a coffin or casket choice
- Answer questions or leave notes for us
- Upload documents or other files
- See your current payment status
- Keep track of things that still need your attention
You won’t necessarily see all of these. I will add the tasks that are relevant to your arrangements.
Your progress
Your portal shows the things that still need your attention and the things you have already completed.
A progress bar at the top gives you a simple overview of where things are up to.
Once you complete a task, it is marked as complete so you can see what you’ve already taken care of.
Uploading photographs and files
Some tasks may ask you to upload photographs or other files.
You can usually upload these directly from your phone, tablet or computer. This means there is no need to email large numbers of photographs or documents separately.
For example, I may create separate tasks for:
- Photos for booklet
- Photos for tribute video
This allows us to keep the files organised for the particular purpose they are intended for.
You can also add a note to your upload if there is something you would like us to know about the files.
Completing forms
Some information can be completed directly within the portal.
For example, the Personal Details form collects the information needed to register the death and arrange the official Death Certificate.
Where a form or document needs your signature, I may provide it through the portal for you to complete digitally.
Questions and decisions
The portal can also be used when I need you to make a decision or provide some information.
You may see a task asking you about something such as music, photographs or your coffin or casket choice.
You can provide your response directly in the portal, keeping the information together with the rest of your arrangements.
You don’t have to do everything at once
The portal is designed to make things easier, not to give you a long list of things you need to deal with immediately.
Some things will be more urgent than others, and some decisions can wait.
I will add tasks as they become relevant to your arrangements, so you can work through them as you are able.
Questions?
If you are unsure about something in your portal, or simply don’t know what I am asking for, please contact me.
You don’t need to work everything out yourself. The portal is there to make the practical side of arranging a funeral easier, while I remain available to help you through the process.
